I’ve been thinking about this recently and came to the conclusion that the guys I normally end up dating or getting with are all pretty normal looking. And by normal looking I mean they can fit into society easily and not stand out like I usually do.
I dress in all black usually, my lip is pierced, I wear bright red lipstick and heavy eyeliner. I am a walking punk/gothish/rockstar/hipster hottie and yet I never get the punk/hipster boys. That makes me kinda sad and confused.
I really don’t understand it. Looking back I have been with (or have attracted) only a handful of guys who dress and look and are like me. I have been with and attracted a numerous amount of rather normal guys…far more than the ones who are similar to me.
You would think that if a guy looks/is more on the edgey rocker side he would be interested in a girl similar to him. But no.
Why is it that regular looking guys go for me instead of rocker-esque guys? Is there some kind of fetish about getting with a gothy/punkish chick that they need to fulfill?
I would much rather prefer to have a handsome male suitor who shares a common style and interests with me than one who looks acceptable to bring home to mother.
This really bothers me. WHERE ARE ALL THE COOL DUDES WITH TATTOOS AND POSSIBLY PIERCINGS AND WEAR BAND TEES AND SKINNY JEANS AND LOVE PUNK ROCK AND INDIE FILMS?!
